BLOCK 9Choices & Adjusted Plan

Story text, notes, storyboard direction, and visual frames stay connected to the same block.

One playhouse. One connected story.

Everything you need to develop the same film.

Learn the method, plan the story, and design its visual direction without copying information between unrelated tools.

01

Learn

Guided Instructions

Work through Bryan Harris’s 24 Blocks method with focused questions, practical guidance, and a clear deliverable for every part of the story.

02

Develop

Story Planner

Build the world, cast, ghost, catalyst, foundations, dialogue, and twenty-four causal story movements in one connected structure.

03

Visualize

Visual Board

Carry each story block into storyboard directions, frame prompts, shot notes, locations, characters, and visual continuity.

04

Keep local

Private Local Server

PlotPickle opens in your familiar web browser, but the working application and its small private server run from your own computer.

05

Stay portable

One Story File

Save, back up, and move your project as a readable .plotpickle.json file instead of trapping the story inside a hosted account.

06

Choose

AI Is Optional

Write entirely on your own, connect ChatGPT, or use a compatible local or other LLM/AI. The story process still works without AI.

Your entire story in one structure

Eleven story columns. One source of truth.

Story Setup, Pitch & Vision, World, Characters, Ghost, Catalyst, Foundations, Dialogue, 24 Blocks, Storyboard, and Notes remain aligned across the workspace.

  • 01 One readable .plotpickle.json project file
  • 02 Local saves, exports, and portable backups
  • 03 A connected path from story idea to visual plan

Your story. Your tools. Your choice.

AI can help, but it never has to lead.

PlotPickle is being built as a complete story-development system first. AI is an optional connection you control, not a requirement for opening or using the planner.

01

No AI

Use PlotPickle as a structured writing room. The questions, planning tools, blocks, and visual board remain fully useful on their own.

02

ChatGPT

Connect your chosen ChatGPT setup when you want help brainstorming, testing story logic, developing options, or refining a block.

03

Local or other AI

Use a compatible local model or another LLM/AI service so your creative workflow is not tied to one provider.

AI connections are part of the development roadmap. The core local planner is designed to work without an AI account or service.

A browser interface without a hosted application

Your browser is the window. Your computer does the work.

PlotPickle will be packaged as a local web/server application. It uses a familiar browser interface while the working application stays on your computer.

1

Open PlotPickle

Start the installed or portable local package from your computer.

2

Keep the server open

A small command window runs PlotPickle privately and can display useful errors.

3

Work in your browser

Your browser opens the local story workspace; it is not an online edition.

4

Choose your workflow

Write manually or connect ChatGPT, a local model, or another compatible LLM/AI.

Active development

This page introduces PlotPickle. The application will run locally.

There is no online PlotPickle edition and no download link on this page yet. The release will be added only when the local web/server package is ready for people to use.
